We built Tarora differently, on purpose, and this is what that actually means in practice, not just as a feature on a marketing page but as something you'll notice the third or fourth time you open the app.

What does it mean for a tarot reading to remember you?

It means Tarora keeps a private, on-device record of the cards you've drawn, and when one genuinely returns for you, your reader can say so, once, only when it actually connects to what you drew today. Not a data point recited back at you. A reader who's been paying attention.

Nothing about this is a running tally or a stat screen. Sophia doesn't open a reading by listing what you've drawn before. The memory only surfaces when a real pattern is there to name, the same way a person who reads for you regularly would mention it, and stays quiet the rest of the time.

Why do the cards you keep drawing matter?

Tarot has always rewarded attention over time. A reader who sees you regularly starts to notice patterns: a card returning again and again, a season repeating itself in different forms. That noticing is part of what makes the practice feel meaningful, and it's exactly what gets lost when every digital reading starts from zero.

A single card, on its own, is one data point. A card that keeps showing up while you're weighing the same decision, or moving through the same season, is a different kind of signal, and it's the kind most tarot apps have no way to notice at all, because they were never built to remember the last reading in the first place. Most were built to sell you the next one instead, which is a different design goal entirely, and it shows in what they choose to track.

What does Tarora do differently?

It draws a real line between what stays private and what a reader can gently notice, and holds that line structurally rather than as a promise you have to trust. A private draw is never written to your history: not the cards, not the reading, nothing to remember later.

That's not a setting you have to remember to toggle correctly. There's simply nowhere for a private draw to end up once it's over. What's left, outside of private draws, is a short local pattern summary, the kind of thing a person would notice, not a transcript. Recurring cards and how often you've read, never the actual text of a past reading or a past question, ever leaves that summary or reaches the reader that writes to you.

Is any of this data shared or sold?

No. The pattern summary is computed and stays entirely on your device. It's shown alongside your reading, never fed into it, and it's never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to target you anywhere else, on this app or any other. We think the business model should be as honest as the reading itself.

There will always be a free way to read, private draws stay off the record entirely, and there are no dark patterns hiding behind the pricing. Does Tarora save every reading I do? Only non-private ones, and only as a short local summary of recurring cards and how often you've read, kept on your device. Private draws are never saved anywhere, in any form.

Can my reader see what I asked in a past reading? No. Past questions and past reading text are never stored or reused. What can carry forward is limited to which cards keep recurring and how often you've read, nothing more specific than that.

Will Sophia mention a card I've drawn before? Sometimes, and only when it genuinely applies. A card mentioned once because it's actually returning for you is different from a running list read back at the start of every session, and we built it to work like the former.

Is the pattern summary shared with anyone? No. It's computed entirely on-device and never transmitted anywhere. It's shown alongside your reading, never fed into it, and it's never sold or used for advertising.
